FIFA's President, The US Leader and this Pursuit for Peace: A FIFA-Style Approach

'MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES … DIVERSE VIEWPOINTS …'

After the Venezuelan opposition leader received the latest Nobel Peace Prize for her "persistent campaigning supporting democratic rights", Donald Trump reacted with the type of magnanimous behavior you would expect. After consistently conducted a campaign of personal advancement to ensure he received the honor personally, the leader quickly took acknowledgment for the Venezuelan activist's triumph, cataloged his own self-proclaimed and regularly questionable successes in the domain of international diplomacy and criticized the legitimacy of the selection panel who determined not to award the honor, monetary award and document to him.

While security concerns suggest it has yet to be determined if the recently honored peace prize winner will emerge from concealment to pick up her accolade personally at the Scandinavian presentation in December, a certain excessively flattering soccer organization chief seems intent on appropriating her thunder nonetheless. Indeed, the FIFA president has opted to award a peace prize of his original design in facing an international television viewership of hundreds of millions worldwide sports followers in the preceding days in the US city.

An individual who has over many years preached the significance of preserving governmental issues away from the sport, specifically when they are the kind of politics he considers inconvenient or just doesn't like, the FIFA leader used his position at the US economic conference in the Florida city to advocate his position about the power of the beautiful game to bring together citizens of all races and belief, particularly those who have additional $5,000-plus knocking around to acquire dynamically priced Global Soccer Tournament admissions.

"In an increasingly uncertain and divided global community, it is essential to acknowledge the remarkable contribution of those who strive earnestly to resolve conflicts and unite individuals in an attitude of peace", he announced. "The sport represents harmony and representing the whole sports family, the Fifa Peace Prize – The Game Brings Together will honor the tremendous endeavors of these people who bring together individuals, providing optimism for coming years."

But who could he mean? Although the FIFA president was careful not to offer specific indications regarding the individual of the first honor's fortunate winner, he went on to segue into an almost certainly unrelated and sycophantic homage to his current Close Associate (Or For The Immediate Future), the American leader. His comments certainly had the planned result. Internationally, the most cynical of observers were united in stating they recognized exactly who would be obtaining the Pretend Peace Prize, with various people even going so far as present completely unfounded claims that the legally adjudicated and sports rule-breaking man-baby under consideration might possibly compelled the FIFA head to invent the award merely to offset the president's feeling of injustice at failing to receive the genuine honor.

As believable a scenario as it appears, The Athletic Coverage disagrees, particularly since in recent months the increasingly absurd Fifa boss has worked his path to such a degree into the president's favor that it's very likely this recent scheme was actually his own idea.

And while we can probably assume it stays past the administrator's constrained creativity to throw the most unexpected development by giving the initial (and perhaps final) peace prize to the environmental campaigner, the European statesman or the person of the Italian team's technical team who stepped between Ademola Lookman and the coach to stop a disagreeable major tournament bench disagreement, it's possible to wish the Chelsea player and his Chelsea teammates are requested to participate to Washington dressed in gear to perform a retaliatory takeover of Trump's presentation ceremony.

The gilded debatable award, or any other equally suitable ornament the FIFA president decides to give the chief executive for his contributions to international unity and togetherness, would more than make up for the winner's medal he infamously appropriated and kept during the global team tournament award event.
