Mediated discussions aimed at reaching a comprehensive deal on a US peace plan to end the war in Gaza have commenced in the Red Sea resort of the negotiation site.
Palestinian and Egyptian officials have indicated that the sessions are focused on "creating the field conditions" for a potential swap that would see the liberation of all Israeli hostages in exchange for a quantity of detained Palestinians.
